Friends of the Earth are issuing out kits to help save the bees if you make a donation to them. Money goes towards research and taking practical measures to help, including sending out a packet of wild flower seeds to you. I imagine it’s a bit late in the year to be planting flower seeds, but I’m not exactly green fingered, so am not the one to say!
It’s not just in the UK that there seems to be a problem with bumblebees and honey bees dying off. Here’s a picture which clearly shows the necessity for bees in food production. (Picture from here.)
