I found this cheat’s way to make mitred corners for a tea towel for a friend. This method just involves ironing, cutting and pinning the corners. Rather than ironing, SEWING, cutting and repinning. I couldn’t quite figure out from the links in my previous post, where to sew exactly. I think the tricky thing is that sewing is always a bit inside out and requires some specialist lateral thinking. And with spacial awareness not being one of my strong points, it may take me some time to comprehend the inside-out- thinking and realise exactly where to sew.
Generally, despite my sewing on the underside looking particularly scrappy, I was pleased with the end result. Or, more to the point, the recipient was. Check out her wonderful website here: I especially like the shop section!
